Yes, well it is part of the canon, so it's a must have. Plus, I am gearing up for another Venice trip and really like the shot of the sailboat going down the Grand Canal, which, in the real world, is an impossibilitiy. They must have gotten some special permit to do that scene.
Except that I coudln't hear him, I thought Craig was one of the highlights! On watching it again, I really liked him.
Some of my criticisms can be pedantic. For instance, the pre-title sequence is in Black and White. The first thing you think of is "Flashback," because often B & W sequences...
That's a horrid title and will be very difficult to market anywhere. I hope they reconsider before the film comes out.
I was the lone dissenter on "Casino Royale," pretty much disliking the entire film.
I must admit, I went and bought the DVD last weekend and watched it through twice and...
I have always been partial to redheads with long flowing curls. I would follow them anywhere.
All other hair colors and styles depend on the individual. I do notice when someone has healthy hair. I do think it's really gross when a woman has brittle over-bleached hair that feels like straw...
You asked for opinions and then you criticize? Interesting.
Waistcoats are acquiring an entirely different connotation than the stuffy banker looks of the past. Think Daniel Craig at the end of "Casino Royale," sleek, dangerous and modern.
Cordoroy has a 70s vibe to me. The suit pictured...
Housekeeping
Hello, I never post in here. It feels weird...
Anyway, I moved this post over here where I thought it would get better responses.
OK, gotta duck outta here! ;)
Hey, Good for you and I totally respect that choice! :eusa_clap
As for me, I love television. I love my HDTV and "American Idol," "House," "Law & Order," "Doctor Who," "The Terminator," "24," "Heroes," and so many more.
I do find myself watching more and more tv on my phone though, but...
I just watched it again. The Pilot is free on iTunes. It held up well to a second viewing. I like it because it is sticking with the rules of the franchise, unlike say, Highlander II!
I like it. It seems true to the basic rules of the franchise. Nothing beats the low budget brilliance of the original.
My main nerd fix continues to be Doctor Who though, but with very little new television due to the writer's strike, there is enough here to entertain me.
Great topic and close to my heart.
Personally, anything used from someone else that is worn close to the body, I am not interested in. It's just too much for me. I have to make an exception for hats, but the vintage hats that I have are mint.
Shoes were meant to be scraped. My philosophy...
:offtopic: Thanks, I appreciate that. Oddly enough, a Panasonic Lumix with a Leica lens was my last camera. It was great outdoors, but had a terrible amount of digital noise at high ISOs.
Thanks $ally! I was just thinking of how much I like your new avatar. The shot above is excellent as well.
Thank you, Nashoba too. I have been working very hard at this; studying photography rather than just putting the SLR on auto and praying for the best!
I am so glad you all like the...
Here, here.
Where I am frustrated is that I cannot find a decent bag for my camera. I carry my Barbour bag, but I wish I had something a bit sleeker and more modern for when I am dressed more formally. An SLR and a couple of lenses can be a bit bulky for some of the bags out there.
Also, I...
Let's keep it polite, gentlemen.
All dissent is appreciated. Let's keep it on the facts and away from the personal.
As for me, I carry a shoulder bag in the style of nearly every man in Italy and France. If a man's LVT bag were to suddenly materialize in my room, I would carry that too...
Take some inspiration from Italian men; jeans with full on dress shoes, the nicer, the better. Wing tips, cap-toes, they all look great. Remember, they balance this out with a dressed-above-the-waist aesthetic; button up shirts or nice sweaters and sport coats.
Personally, I have wing-tip...
