Shoes for jeans

Hi all, Deep down inside I am still a Levi's guy. I want to get out of my Sneaks and into some nice shoes. What kind of shoes do you guys wear with your jeans ?? I have a nice pair of Black Cap toe oxfords, not really dress shoes, do you think they would work with the jeans? before I try! ^_^

Take some inspiration from Italian men; jeans with full on dress shoes, the nicer, the better. Wing tips, cap-toes, they all look great. Remember, they balance this out with a dressed-above-the-waist aesthetic; button up shirts or nice sweaters and sport coats.

Personally, I have wing-tip high brogues. I think they look great.

Cocoa brown suede plaintoes (these are Havana Joes, mine are Florsheims)

At the Front Type 1 service shoes

Palladium "Brussel" oxfords (tobacco)

I wear Dockers cap toed oxfords most of the time (I have a pair in oxblood and a pair in black) or a pair of cheap workboots when the weather is too foul not to have ankle protection.

For myself, I'm a fan of high heels or ballet flats.

But obviously that doesn't help you out one bit My fella and his buddies always go for vintage motorcycle boots (the best look ever with Levis, I promise) or a repro canvas crepe-soled lace-up, which is a nice casual look that's a bit dressier than your average sneaker.

Engineer boots are always a good choice in the cold and the wet, though I'd recommend a good set of insoles to ensure a snug fit if you're going to be walking any distance in them or on your feet all day. The Service shoes look like a good choice - ditto any similar civilian footwear. My current go-to shoes with jeans are a pair of Doc Martens lace up shoes in flat black with the regular DM air cushioned sole. Very comfy indeed, and if not vintage correct in spec, they still look just fine if you're after a fifties / rockabilly sort of look. For the warmer weather I'm considering some saddle shoes. I'm also keeping an eye out for a lace-up equivalent of Penny loafers - I'm really not keen on slip-ons, my engineer boots aside.

Thanks all, I do need to stay away from workboots as I have been wearing them everyday for 30+ years. I need light wt. !! I will invest in some painrs of Loafers, and I have my Black cap toes. Fletch, yes I was thinking about a nice pair or Ropers, like the walking heel. Thosa at the front service shoes are very very cool.

Havana Joe oxfords.

Smooth leather upper. Rubber, but not all clunky, sole with good traction. They can be shined up bright or just treated with beeswax. Go with jeans or khakis.

Durable and comfortable, I've walked miles (at a time) in mine, on and off-road, and they're probably going on a half-dozen years old.

Quality shoe, I wear them most of the time when I'm not wearing a suit. Like most things I find I like, I bought them in brown and black.

The same shoe comes in an ankle boot.

Those Havana Joes are nice... good website too that store Nathans. Another question, with the Ropers or any kind of tall Cowboy type boot, would you wear regular fit Levi's or do you go for the bootcut. I haven't worn Bootcut since High School

Don't need bootcuts with the Justins. I wear them under easy-fit straight legs with no problems.
