There are few articles of clothing in the history of film that are iconic: Dorothy's slippers, Bogart's trench, Marylin's white dress.
The Indiana Jones hat is iconic. Nothing else matches this hat's cultural impact.
This was done specifically by the producers because ancient Rome, like the UK until fairly recently, was a stratified society which was designated by culture and accent.
Using English actors accomplishes this very easily and in a way that a modern audience would understand. Rather brilliant...
I have moved this into the Moving Picture where it is better suited.
I am a huge fan of Paul Giamotti's work.
Also, I loved David McCullough's book. Is this based on it? I would be very pleased.
Joseph Ellis wrote a book on Adams that was much more critical.
I think, at times, it shows a lack of imagination, but I see nothing inherently wrong with it. It's certainly not the most sophisticated way of expressing oneself.
I have had a pair of high Gore-Tex and Thinsulate lined LL Bean Duck Boots for well over 10 years and they are my favorite snow and slush boots. They are fantastically tough and oddly stylish. You'll see them on just about everyone in Boston in the wintertime.
I'd like to see some more natural photos. I think the Deckard test is great for proper fit and for reassurance that your suit fits right. But, to a casual observer, one needs to see what it looks like with you living in it; I would like to see some more casual photos.

My Customer Tailor suit that I call my "Avatar Suit!"
You can always rely on a bluish gray tweed suit by Ralph Lauren:
And this one is Italian tweed by Neiman Marcus...
Sorry folks, I am sure this thread was written with the best intentions, but this one skirts too close to the political line. In fact, in its references to political candidates and government program, it freely crosses it.
The “No Politics” ban was instituted during an election cycle, so...
Skype is cool, MK. You can speak to someone through a webcam and exchange files with them at the same time. It's great for business and creative meetings. I have accomplished quite a bit with it and it's free!
I have a Kent oval military brush made out of authentic bristle, though I don't think it's as nice a grade as that one, from Bel Air Beauty Supply for $45 I think. I don't use it too often because it makes my hair too flat, which for others may be a good thing.
Fleur, you know I love those images, as I have commented over at MySpace. I think those are extremely creative, compelling, and intriguing. They have a certain Gothic horror element to them and technically, they are brilliant. You look elegant and ethereal. These are great pieces of art. Well done.
