Thanks, Mike. I hope so. I'll do a full review.
If you've noticed, Barbour is slowly heading upscale into the luxury market, but still retaining, thank heavens, the rustic country clothes we all know and love.
This jacket is based on vintage patterns, but has a modern tailored fit, which...
I LOVE this jacket: The Barbour Washed Twill Trooper Jacket. It is available on March 10th and I am going to grab it then. This is going to be my new travel and adventure jacket.
Photos are great! Who posts more photos than I? lol
Over-sharing is one of those things you know when you see it and they generally concern things of an overly personal nature.
Remember, a lot of stuff is nixed before everyone has a chance to see it!
Generally speaking, the OB is a place for topics that do not fit into the other forum categories, that are of a more open nature, and appeal to this community, which, being that this is a vintage-related forum would make the vast majority of threads inherently vintage-related. .
What we have...
A Couple of Points...
The changes we are speaking of are not about going backward to what the Fedora Lounge was in the past, but a rather a great step forward to strengthen this place for long-term growth and to enhance is as the indispensable resource it has always been on vintage topics...
Which slows what a gentleman and all around good fellow you are! I'm looking forward to the thread.
Remember everyone, we are the Lounge; the way to make it more interesting and informative is to share more information and more ideas.
We're counting on you, all of you, to bring back the informative threads.
Go pursue your passions of the Golden Era and report back here. Share your research. That's what makes this place great.
Exactly and that's what your friendly neighborhood bartenders are here for! Thanks for helping us make the point, Kitty; I agree with you entirely, and it was just those sort of threads that have inspired us to reign things in a bit, nothing radical, just a wee bit.
As always, Kitty, thanks...
I thought I would take this opportunity to say...
We are going to let this run for a while, but generally we are going to strive to stay on mission and keep our posts to a Golden Era / Fedora Lounge Community related topic range.
We want to keep this place on-point, interesting, and engaging...
La Dolce Vita on Hanover Street in the North End is a favorite. Wonderful atmospher too.
Waltham's own Chateau is amazing and very affordable. Sit in the Lounge for a club feel or The Gold Room to be surrounded by paintings of famous Italian Americans circa 1978.
Bottege Fiorentina in...
Fletch, I appreciate your intention in defending The Lounge, but I am sure we all agree our reputation and integrity stands on its own.
Also, as a matter of course, things happening over at other forums is not our concern here and should stay over at the other forums. If someone is slinging...
You make fantastic points. I just wanted to add a few things to this statement; sadly, it is not always true. I dated a girl who dressed exclusively vintage and didn't dry clean her clothes and she reeked a mixture of ancient sweat and moth balls. It was tough to get beyond it. Also, there is a...
It should be added that regular wear of any garment is good for it as well. No garment that was regularly worn has ever been moth-bitten. Keep them all on a rotation, fellows.
I wear suits to work everyday, so for me, it's easy.
No worries, Church, to wash or not to wash is a personal preference. I support your choice.
I would humbly suggest that just because someone thinks that a suit doesn't require cleaning doesn't mean it isn't dirty. Bodies do things all of the time; they sweat (even if you don't feel it), they...
