This thread seams to have run its course. Move along, nothing more to see here.

Recasting " The Thin Man" Article

Nope. That was the writer's preference. I believe that Johnny Depo still has the role, if it gets made.

Recasting " The Thin Man" Article

Indeed. As it always has been in Hollywood.

    Untouched Paris apartment

This is one of the most interesting and thought-inspiring stories that I have read in a long time. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

    Django Unchained

I like how the gentleman above me stated this, "Please try to stay polite, this is hardly a topic worth coming to blows over.................Just have to accept that some folks have different opinions from you & have as much right as you to express them without being insulted." I hope that he...

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

I caught some films recently on the plane back from Venice. The latest Batman film. I don't remember its name, but it was epic, absolutely moving and amazing. One of the best of the genre ever. "Moonrise Kingdom" seemed more like a parody of Wes Anderson than an actual Wes Anderson film. I...

    James Bond: Skyfall

A rather liked the clothes Bond wore at the end, the Barbour jacket that seemed to be laying about the old house in Scotland. The jacket has since gone on to sell out all over the world, which makes me nervous since I would hate to see Barbour get as popular as say Burberry. I love the moments...

    Rolling stones 50th anniversary tour

The Stones are one of the most important and influential bands ever. It's difficult to understand their impact without living through it because so much changed in their wake. They provided a soundtrack for their generation and many of their songs are nothing less than iconic, and that is not...

    Vienna & "The Third Man"

Nice Job! I would love to see those places in person. I read that they have "Third Man"-themed tours that go down into the sewers and other places. Did you do any of that? Do you have anymore photos?

    Barbour Wax Jackets

To me, Barbours are tough, effective, utilitarian jackets with a bit of country romance thrown in. I've assembled quite a collection over the last 20 years. The thing I like about them too is that they have zero cache' here in Boston and are totally under the radar. At my age, I am out to...

Has anyone mentioned the Sunbeam Alpine from Dr. No? I thought that was an interesting choice.

    "Sherlock" BBC series.

Agreed! That episode was the best of any of them, even the first! I am so into "Sherlock!" It's not everyday that anyone can out-Sherlock Robert Downey, Jr! This series is one of the best things on television, ever!

    Avengers Assemble!

To be totally nerdy, but... He was only recently reawakened so I don't think he had a chance to shop for anything. His clothes, like his surroundings, were provided for him by S.H.I.E.L.D. so that he wouldn't be too traumatized by his transition to modern times. There are 30 minutes of footage...

    Avengers Assemble!

This film was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it! I cannot not get enough of Downey's Iron Man, so I really enjoyed those parts. I also liked Steve Rogers' civilian wardrobe. It seemed right out of the LL Bean Signature catalogue. I especially liked his leather jacket.

The End of the Oak Room, Boston

I don't know who ended up with them and there wasn't an auction as far as I know. They kept it very quiet because there was a back-lash when the news went public a year ago. So when it was time, they simply closed it and gutted it. I am certain that all of that carved oak and marble is...
