How do you coordinate your socks?
I think socks are best matched with pants. It makes them blend with the pants, thus elongating the look of the leg. I would not wear white socks with the first outfit, though. It might be a little too sporty to go with the rest of the outfit.- Paisley

I just bought a CD of early R&B that's fun but not in the best of taste. The flag/handkerchief does look really kitschy. But I think that the royal family making that pronouncement at the time would have been in even poorer taste.- Paisley

Secret Weapons
I have ugly feet: wide, oddly shaped, bony and the veins all stand out. So even my sandals cover them up fairly well. However, I do buff off the callouses and paint the nails...pink or white. I see a lot of red toenails and I want to be a little different. -

Yes, agreed. But I can see your point. Given that I work at a downtown CPA firm, someone wearing a suit and decent shoes, or even nice slacks and a blouse, would probably fit in better here than someone wearing jeans and Birkenstocks, all else being equal. I think if I hadn't been in the military, I wouldn't care at all about shoes. I have wide, oddly shaped feet, and if I'm wearing shoes that fit and feel reasonably comfortable, I'm pretty happy.
