I was tempted to bid on it...but it was pretty small, so I didn't. I had been watching it for a while. It needs a good brushing and steaming, but after that it should polish up VERY nicely!
Kahl's woks fine for light stiffening, but its heavily diluted. If you want something a bit stronger...

The felt needs to be "impregnated" with the stiffener for the best results. Its shellac which is diluted with denatured alcohol for the most...
Especially since this new Excellent Quality will stand neck and neck with those vintage 40's/50's classics but you also get a new sweatband that wont dry out, a brand new never worn hat, and the chance to really support Stetson's commitment to making high quality hats that us hat lovers would be...
Thanks SO much everyone!! :yo:
I have a couple videos of us playing somewhere....I have to find them.

Here you go, Paul...
I'm at work right now and decided to show the versatility of this felt. I steamed and set my crease with water, so it was a little harder to pop out that just a dry crease, but even so, the felt took a new crease just fine and the brim curled up just fine as well...
Thanks, Steve!
After seeing all the wonderful vintage Austrian/German hats that you have posted through the years, I would absolutely have to agree that on the whole, mass production quality in Austria/Germany was superior than the mass production quality in the USA overall. The vintage...
