Thank you. It’s French goatskin - originally russet, dyed by Dave Sheeley. It’s very supple with great drape.

I’ve posted this elsewhere on FL. it’s based on a pre-war Monarch with mods. Long enough for comfort, short enough for driving.
Made by Dave Sheeley (@Mavrickson).
If you’re based on the Southern Hemisphere then I’d suggest looking on Rakuten and OneJP for a used/low wear RM jacket.
Should be some in your size in that region.
Thanks Tony, the FW Shinki HH is medium weight and very soft and flexible. I’m generally not a great fan of HH, but this is the best that I’ve seen.
Both the FW deer and French goat are equally plush (the deer is more dense and spongy - certainly heavier, like steer in weight).
These are two...
No disagreements at this end John! As you know, I’m happy to sell jackets on quickly if they don’t fit the bill, but this one is a keeper.
Dave’s work is right up there with the very best posted on these fora, he is an artist.
A few more detail shots and several so-so fit pics. Just returned from an evening walk around Bristol and the jacket is already breaking in well.
I have always preferred goatskin to practically every other hide as it’s so light and flexible.
I shall be wearing this to work this week.
