What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Thanks! And thanks for the interesting point about the japanese makers. The Japanese truly value these old vintage jackets. But, IMHO, no matter how hard they try the new ones never come out as good looking as the real deal- there's nothing like 50 years of hard wear...

Starter jacket - HD Sportster from @Monitor

Nice score! And this Harley Sportster is the earlier version with the Conmar diamond pull. Usually these jackets are only available in small sizes, so you really lucked out in finding this one. The body length looks spot on. Maybe a little bunched up in the arms, but the waist and shoulders give...

    Taubers Horsehide Cafe Racer-Size 38/40.

I paid about just about that much for a horsehide Taubers that was beat to death and needed a new lining, and some holes patching up. And I was happy to pay it. So definitely this one is a good deal...if it was my size, I'd pounce on it.

    Taubers Horsehide Cafe Racer-Size 38/40.

That's simply gorgeous! And a really good price too- especially considering the condition, the rarity, and that it's horsehide.

Vintage 60’s Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket 42/40

Selling a vintage leather motorcycle jacket- crosszip style. Mostly likely 60’s era. If you like the vintage black overdyed brown, then this has got that look. Really lovely patina. Thick and supple. No holes in the leather. Stitching appears solid. Just a plain motorcycle jacket that’s been...

    Lets see those Motorcycle Jackets!

Totally agree- I love the fit of the Kehoe, the top sleeve zips, and the soft suppleness of their steerhide leather. Very comfortable- like a second skin.

    Lets see those Motorcycle Jackets!

Beautiful fit on that one! I've never seen a Kehoe with arm stripes and slanted chest pockets...kind of a vintage Bates vibe going. Very cool!

Need help identifying vintage Motorcycle Jacket

All good clues in figuring out the maker. Big thanks to Mitchell for the Levis info. Gamma's post about the similarity of lining to the Ralphs-Pugh Co. is a good lead- (pg. 39 Rin Tanaka - Motorcycle Jackets.) It could quite possibly be a Ralphs-Pugh Top-Notch jacket- they were also in San...
