You can see everything in the SJC forum. For now there is frantic work on the autumn/winter collection. You can take part and make your suggestions and offer your expertise. After the development stage the items that can be ordered will go live in a sub forum. http://sjcforum.com/portal.php I...
I don't know exactly, but I suppose that the summer collection is going live maybe in April so that it can be ready for summer? I know that the cream flannel has already been woven and that sample trousers are being made. Best to ask Simon, he is going at a breakneck speed. :D
What is coming...
Yes, and my impression is that SJC is going to equal or better them in all departments: design, fabrics, fit, quality, price. To offer a period correct 3PC suit in Magee tweed, made to measure for substantially less than a RRL suit is quite a feat.
Very nice, Craig.
Fanch, SJC is about to bring all the awesome stuff to life everybody on here has been drooling about but couldn't find. Leather jacket styles not available anywhere else, 14 oz. cream flannels, wabash and dobby shirts, belted back suits in 30s and teens styles, tarsal strap...
Ouch, I don't think I would be prepared to shell out that kind of money for a cardigan. But it is awfully nice and certainly suits you big time.
Is that bow tie vintage or did you make it yourself, hbk? I really adore how well you put your look together.
Spectacular! I hope Simon is going to make something similar with looong sleeves.
What fabric are your trousers? Looks similar to Doppelpilot/Deutschleder.
What is the purpose of this shape? I mean, it leaves exactly that part of the body exposed where you normally want the waistcoat to have an effect. Is this just fashion?
In his late teens films Harold Lloyd sports some very crazy jazz suits.
Very interesting. Pin-stripe jacket with peak lapels and a Buster Keaton waistcoat paired with corduroy trousers, heavy work shirt and one of those tiny novelty bow ties. I like it! BTW, can anybody give me some background about this waistcoat style? To me it is utterly useless, leaving the...
I am sorry for you, Metatron. I would be really bummed if I were to pay 300 quid for one of their better fabrics and this was the result. Any RTW trousers would have a better pattern, I daresay. Unless you have an item in the correct size that can be copied as it is I wouldn't bother with them...
I like that look much better. Nowadays they basically look like soldiers. As if they were there to fight the people instead of serving and protecting. Gives me the creeps.
I really dig the Howard Hughes look as well. A nice deco sweater or fair isle sweater vest instead of the waistcoat works...
If I were in your shoes I would spend a short vacation in Scotland and combine it with a trip to AL and Aero. Get fitted in person and you will have a good result. Everything else is gambling.
