My impression is goatskin is a typically lighter yet a very durable hide. I have a goatskin G-1 from 1968 in great condition.

You might be right. If it doesn’t work for her, it will hit the classifieds here. It was listed as a woman’s jacket by a woman seller and the sizing seems right.
