    One of the signs of a Fidelity is the chain loop above the label for hanging the jacket. This one lacks that detail, and the leather doesn’t seem like Fidelity. I think it’s another brand.

    Agree. I'd like a deerskin jacket that has some styling like this example. It seems most are either fairly plain or loaded with fringe. (I've already got the fringe covered with my suede Schott Western.)

    Share your jacket patina/scar story

    That gash would have really bothered me. You did a great job in repairing it and blending it with the surrounding leather. Looks fab.
