i disagree Johnny... i think you've got a really strong logo which ticks all the boxes i mentioned above. where did the illustration of the man in cap come from ?
Simonds, to me they look more like movie title cards than logos. i think that's probably because there's a lot of empty space between the lettering and the border.
art deco clothing logos tend to be quite compact and 'full'. also, if you can incorporate a drawing or other graphic shape too...

canvas cricket boots (preferably with tarsal straps) have been on my want list since day one, but i don't think i've ever seen a pair larger than UK 10 (i'm 10 1/2).
found these on ebay yesterday and all of the available sizes are still too small !!!

these are original Peal and Co WW2 boots:
the company closed in 1965 and the name was bought by Brooks Brothers. the boots today are outsourced to one
of the Northampton factories such as Crockett and Jones (hence the C&J name in the above listing).

not sure Fastuni. waxed cotton, at least in the UK, tends to mean the stuff Barbours are made from, but it might have a separate meaning.
i also have a vague memory of someone telling me it was 'oilcloth', but oilcloth searches only bring up the heavily vinyl coated stuff they use for cheap...
anyone know what this fabric is that is often used for vintage labels ?
it appears to be cotton but with a crispy, coated finish a bit like Holland linen:
i haven't been able to find the proper term for it (or find any for sale).
the full colour illustrations above would all have been printed using offset lithography, after having the artwork photographed and colour separations made.
