Yeah perhaps you are right regarding the lack of their availability in the UK. I live half an hour drive from Northampton by the way… lol… many great makers there for sure. Cool, thanks all for the replies re Alden availability outside of US. I think C&J are awesome but often their lasts look a bit too elongated and dressier for my taste. I think the Coniston is their only boot model I like (though not a fan of 360 degree welt). I have a pair of their shoes I use...- Mich486

Thanks for your interest. I’ve never been measured on a brannock device unfortunately, I think it’s not that used outside of the USA. I wear a US 8.5 in White’s BH and Red Wing Iron Ranger, if that helps.- Mich486

Would you ever walk out from a shop with a jacket fitting like this? I guess not… at least I know I wouldn’t. Imho you can do much better buying OTR. That kind of confirms my perception then. While the workwear trend is definitely past its peak the western/cowboy theme is still somewhat “in” and that is an area where RRL (used to) put out interesting pieces. Oh well… plenty of choice elsewhere too.- Mich486
