Langlitz nailed my Timberline after I sent it back. The remake was perfect but the collar was crooked so it had to go back to get the collar put on evenly so 2 times was the charm. It is one of my best fitting jackets and I love it.
On the opposing side of the fence I did order a padded Cascade...
I'm looking at my Freewheelers and Rainbow Country jackets side by side and can't see any real difference in leather quality and finish between them. All have what appears to be an aniline or semi-aniline finish. The leather feels and smells the same between them also. I have a hunch that both...
The Four Corners is a great jacket and having owned 3 or 4 Thedi and a few freewheelers I would personally lean toward Freewheelers as a better jacket but that is just my opinion and there is certainly nothing wrong with a Thedi. Thedi attaches buttons better than anyone else and one of the best...
I never regret selling a jacket. I didn't like it which is why I sold it in the first place.
I do regret selling a Les Paul Jr Special about 30 years ago and a Rickenbacker bass.
My Schott 689H had full quilted lining and was not puffy whatsoever. It had a thin quilted lining and that made the jacket stiff when new and took about 2 years to break in. If it wasn't a size too large I'd still be using it as my winter jacket up here in Canada. I run hot so it served me quite...
I normally drop a 1/2 size in Wesco so you should be ok however I have no idea what last the Boondocker is on. I only went up in width for the MP last which is on the narrow side and the Job master last fit as a regular width.
Nice Robbie. I sold that jacket a few months after posting that photo. Because of my bad experience with vendor I just never wanted to wear it since I just got angry thinking about all of the BS.
I am interested in that jacket minus some of the leather trim and regular flat buttons and I'd be...
That is long gone. I had too many black jackets and that particular one was ordered from a vendor that resulted in some bad experiences and poor customer service with them so I did not want the jacket in my possession any longer and it had to go. I lost some cash selling it but I didn't care. I...
I've been wanting a canvas Thedi like yours for a while now but with no leather trim except maybe the collar. I've owned an all leather version of yours but would prefer one in canvas. Your jacket is really nice.
I'll agree with you there. My second langlitz, a Cascade did not work out so I needed an MC jacket asap and bought a Rainbow Country J-100 type which I really like, and your description is spot on. A reduced calorie version.
I would feel more safe sliding across the pavement in it than a Thedi...
Monarchs are available in those colours of goat. I inquired last year and he had both. The tan more like a light honey colour was a limited thing he had and did not know if more could be obtained. The hide was too thin for my liking so I passed but the possibility was there.
Then why have a return policy? I actually asked LW about doing that with a G-1 since I am kind of in between sizes and they had zero problem with it. Thing is shipping back and forth and paying import taxes twice up here in Canada would have added about $400 CAD so I did not do it.
If I lived in the USA I would simply buy a stock jacket size from LW, try it, make some fit notes, return it for a credit, then get a custom made regarding sleeve and body length.
