Thanks Robbie.
I check Buyee every few days for the last few months and will keep checking. I am after a Journeyman and not a Brakeman and it has to be olive. A 40 fits me perfectly and I could not squeeze into a 38. I tried on couple in size 40 while in Japan and all my other Freewheelers...
WTB: Freewheelers Journeyman in Olive size 40.
New ones are a bit pricey so I'm hoping a used one may be available sometime.
Hit me up if you have one you are wanting to sell.
We are pretty much the same size except I am 1" taller. The 40 vs 38 reminded me that when I tried on a 40 Mulholland while in Japan this past winter, I am now recalling the 40 was not snug or really fitted and if they had a 38 I would have tried it to compare. The 40 did feel OK and not overly...
No denying the craftsmanship that goes into a Thedi. It is amazing to see what actually goes into making a quality leather jacket so you can clearly see the effort and the technical skill involved in producing one. I hope they send you more photos. I like this kind of stuff.
No, one from TB others direct from Thedi. Direct is easier than dealing with a middle man but things can still go wrong. I just had some bad luck. That happens when buying a custom jacket on the internet along with unforeseen delays so it can be a roll of the dice. It just happened a couple...
First world problems. You will get your jacket and it will be nice but in the age of instant gratification people get impatient so I get that but in these pandemic times patience is key.
My experience with Thedi is e-mail communication is ok at first, then spotty at best then fizzles out. Their...
I have three Freewheelers and in my opinion the ones I own fit true to size. I am a size 40 and tried a Mulholland on in a 40 and it fits as a size 40 should.
I went up 1/2 size from Red Wing and moved up in width. Red Wing I am an 8 D so in a Mr Lou I am an 8 1/2 E. Instep was too loose for my liking so I returned them and ordered a Wesco Warren boot instead but the Mr Lou is a really nice boot. Once I started regularly wearing Wesco and Whites for...
Shinki is a buzzword right now. I have many jackets made of it but that is just how it worked out and not by any choice really. The leather on my Freewheelers or Rainbow Country jackets isn't really nicer or better than the leather on my Langlitz, Schott or Thedi jackets I used to own. Its all...
I owned a 689H for about 12 years and it is not a tight waisted jacket or a blouson style since it is kind of long with around a 25" back. It is a typical single riders kind of thing. That being said I absolutely loved it and with the light quilted lining it made a decent, hard-wearing winter...
Too big. I bought one from Vanson a few years back and the 40 was huge on me so I sent it back. I am a size 40 in everything not a 38 but would need a 38 in a Model J.
I did exactly that plus they had my body measurements and pattern from my first jacket from them and they still got my Cascade pretty wrong. I even sent measurements of my Timberline plus photos of me wearing it and that still didn't help.
Next time I will get measured there at the shop and try...
