How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

So nuts to me. Like is it just training new workers and accepting they make mistakes? Especially at the prices, with the wait, it’s a hard pill to swallow.
No, that’s not it. At least in my case I spoke to John who is the general manager and he had made the pattern for my second order.
I think one explanation is that since they are used to making purpose built garments for motorcycle use they err on the side of making things tight rather than loose. After my first experience with them I was very clear that I wanted the jacket for casual use and to be able to wear layers underneath, it still came out too tight.
I will say that their 100% satisfaction guarantee is for real and they remade both jackets for me.

The beautiful, amazing, heavy horsehide Ike came in. And it fits more like a true 38 rather than a generous 38 like I was hoping. Will be moving it to classifieds when I have the time, hopefully pass my savings on to a fellow lounger.

Man I don’t know where the Hell they sourced it but Vanson put an absolute pin in the best brown HH ever offered. Anywhere. In all of history.

Well, it is coming to me, thanks to @Mrfrown. I have been looking for this very jacket (or with an Orvis label) for a couple of years now, almost pulled a trigger on one from Japan, but this is better. I rarely look at this thread, but I happened to click on it today, so it must be fate. Very excited and hopeful for a good fit; if not we'll be looking for a Lounger with a reaaaaaaally small frame, lol.

My shearling from 5 * has arrived. I call the model "Frankenstein" or "Wolpertinger" because it is a mixture of D-1, B-3 and trucker jacket.
Good thing: no plastic packaging, but a box.
First impression: in terms of weight, significantly lighter than I had assumed. I have to weigh, but subjectively the Aero Shearling is heavier.
I took 10 mm of fur and it almost seems a little short to me. But it goes well with the style and I have the Aero as really warm anyway. Unfortunately, the measurement at the waistband is 3 cm more than desired, all other measurements fit. The buckle on the side adjusters and neck are very cheap. The leather strap on the neck also looks improvised. I would like something more professional.
Take a closer look tomorrow in the light.

What about the pocket flaps on the chest pockets. Did you request different leather for those, or is it just a matter of panel matching?

Yes, that's right. The pocket flaps are made of the same leather as the reinforcements (cow). Unfortunately it was a difficult birth with this jacket. Originally, the flaps were supposed to be made of the same leather as the rest of the jacket. But for some reason they couldn't do it and the flaps got too thick, which again didn't fit with the standard reinforcements. A workaround didn't look too good either. I then decided on the simplest solution, namely to have the flaps made of the cow leather. The flaps have no buttons on purpose, as I thought it might be a bit too much chrome if these get the turn buttons as well.
As straps, I actually wanted one made of 5* belt leather. Unfortunately the material was not currently available.
In theory, I couldn't imagine a lot about the jacket and just hoped that it would look reasonably acceptable.
I think when the jacket is worn it will look really cool.
My most expensive 5 * so far. But I still have to see if I'm really happy with it.

I like it! I love it, in fact. Back bothers me a bit, the middle seam thing is a bit strange (I'd have added it at the level of the side adjusters) but overall, I think it came out really nice. Unique, fun and seems like a jacket that'd really do wonders for any winter.

Thanks :)
My first reaction to the pictures of Shawn was "oh no". But the more I looked at it, the more potential I saw ;-)
But the first time I tried it on, I was convinced that the jacket looked better than expected.
It's so cool to be able to design your own jacket. That really adds to the experience imo.
