Thanks Stefan.
Just to keep the thread hot. I think a have another one but no pics yet. You have some great examples of the brand yourself posted a few pages back (thanks!).
An old French lady will land here soon, stay tuned
Fun fact: Seems like Espéraza ranks highly on the list of both vintage hat hunters and... Dino hunters!
Copied from Wikipedia:

Glad you got that one, Steve! It's in good hands to say the least ;) Old French hats are awesome.
Just to put it in context, Espéraza in France was one of the three biggest wool producers in Europe back in the day. Stefan has posted some very interesting materials in the French thread coupled...
Steve, thank you

Time to say hi! Some great finds in these parts.
JHS Jota Velour in Brown. Sold by a very famous store back in the day. Style says '30s but label might suggest earlier. Mint condition
That's a stellar hat! From the style of it, 20s-early 30s sounds correct to me. Strictly speaking, the teardrop crease though was not really favored by the time period and place, I think. Still love it!
Brent informed me about that one quite some time ago and curiosity got the best of me
Color of the lead (Pb). In person it has some dark steel-blue hints. I always thought the star system was meant for the US market only, probably not. Nice short velour and thick felt
