Feraud, that is wonderful. I remember seeing one of those in an old movie and thinking, "I've got to get one of those." Re-Blocking a Panama
Good question. I bet some of them are/were but I am only basing that on the same experience you're describing. Some of the old Panamas I've acquired (usually the Brisa weave) are really stiff. Some aren't. Also, when I dampen some in order to manipulate the shape, there is an obvious sticky...- HarpPlayerGene

Hmmmmm.... Not sure. I compared it to other felted-in brim edges I have around here (Lee, Disney, Knox, Dobbs) and on my Stetson it's not that the Mode Edge is 'sharper' necessarily, but it is wider. It goes deeper onto the brim edge. This could give the appearance of it being less thick than...- HarpPlayerGene

There are a few of us here on TFL who've made a big deal out of green fedoras - sometimes because they really are cool and sometimes just to kid around - so they have become somewhat sought after, and they are not nearly as common as greys.
