HA! Yes, that's the one I sold you. What the photos of me don't convey is just how crooked the hat became on my lumpy noggin. I always had to fiddle with it to get it to be straight as in those pictures, and then it'd go wonky again.
So, how does that one - and the St. Regis - look on you...
Whatever could you mean by that? ;)
-------------
So, Optimo was able to re-block it and save all the original trimmings? That is very, very cool. Wonderful hat, Bob.

But I am thinking that I could improve it and give it a more custom look with some pinking sheers...
WOWWWWWWW.......
Fantastic.
Makes me want them all.
Thanks, Marc. Well done. Hopefully more will add to the gallery. Love looking at these - and wishing I'd find something like them in an antique store around here. No dice, yet. Sigh.
You got it, buddy.
More often now, I only take stabs at hats with no bids in the later parts of the auction, if even then. I have done pretty well on hat collecting and with Panamas specifically, so when I see that some slob out there wants the thing, I tend to lay off unless it's something...
Nicely done, you two! Yeah, that color is more clean looking than my more warm grey Whippet and Bob's binding is almost silver looking. Much more appealing than mine, I think. Very nice Whippet, Bob. :eusa_clap
lol lol lol
THAT'S the spirit!
Thanks, all, for the fun responses. And apologies in advance for any forthcoming marriage counseling this may cause some of you. :D
My new Back Yard hat!
Trip to Thrift Store: 10 minutes.
Price of novelty hat: $3.00
Finding something I can put on my head which embarrasses my sweetie more than my optimo Panamas: PRICELESS.
:D
