Wore my old Dobbs Westward for some Honeydos today. Several years ago, when I was in the advertising business I drew the artwork for Porter Cable which is on the back of this shirt. Makes a good work T. :)...
I noticed that odd straw hat on Mr. Depp when I saw the movie. I thought that perhaps a wardrobe director or an art director must have thought he'd look a tad more dashing in a brim they could put a slight swoop in.

It's timing, y'know; like fishing expeditions. If you'd listed that hat a month earlier or later it might've gone three-digits. Just happened that the right person or two wasn't shopping when you offered this piece. I don't know about...
It's all about the look of 'em for me. Any rationalizing I can do with regard to them being functional is just cover for my interest in brimmed hats as style accessories.
Yeah, if not for the 'bribery' we'd all still be traveling under covered wagons. How charming that would still be if not for all that bribery. lol :rolleyes:

Last time I was in Memphis I visited a retail hat store and the modern wool caps they were selling were priced at $75.00! Nothing special about them at all. To ask $50 - $80 for any of these vintage...
