Nice, Bingles I love the Gene Hackman porkpie as well, and those are really fine examples. I'm a large fella, and they look silly as hell on me, but I love stingy brims all the same. It's nice not to whack the brim of my hat on every thing I pass! Great hats. Frank -

Akubra Fed IV or Christy's Adventurer, whats better?
Tried brushing it? If it's just the felt being rubbed the wrong way during storage or shipping, it should brush or rub out. If the felt is actually a different color, that's unacceptable. Have you tried to brush it out? Frank. -

Ancestor hat pics
Civil War? My grandpa had it labeled as Civil War, but that may not be correct. I know absolutely nothing about historic uniforms. It looks like a marching band uniform to me, but I'm sure it was military. He was from the Eastern Seaboard, that's all I know. Frank. -
