A couple of Tootals I came across today. A 'Boys' tie, in the style of a 'Green Quality' in a great pattern (a shame it's too short, and has a small repair to it - I'd wear it!) and a puppytooth 'Black Quality'.
Also saw these on Ebay - really weird 'Black Quality' ties - they look like...
Nice ones gents - I like that the coronet can be three different ties depending on how much you show - waistcoat, jacket buttoned, jacket open!
Here's some I came across:
A couple of Tootals, a 'Boys' and a 'Black Quality'
And a couple of seemingly unworn club ties, both Terylene. I really...
Ahh, I remember student accommodation fondly...sort of! My room for the first year was about 6' by 10', shower and toilet in the same cubicle. At least you're getting out to sing sea-shanties!
Sorry TT - it's cleared.
That's interesting. I seem to remember they were primarily a cloth company anyway, and so would be geared towards garments rather than accessories in the early years?

Agreed - I've done it a few times with ties that have twisted. There's not really any way of ironing out that sort of thing when the tie is together - and in fact could ruin it more (and irreversibly) if Acetate is anything like Terylene.
Hah thanks TT. It's probably the loudest and craziest Tootal print I've seen before. Ahead of its time really. Quite wide too, although I'm not sure that someone hasn't pressed it that way.

Haha! Nice try TT ;) I have been lucky recently though. It can't last forever!
The only colour I don't have now is 'Grey Quality' - it eludes me like the white whale!

Hal - Yes, here it's till warm but there's been warning of thunder storms later. Luckily, this week has ended up being consistent in its temperatures around us, so I've been able to be summery (Panama or linen cap, lightweight wool slacks and a cord or light wool jacket). I'm wearing full suits...
