    Sorry TT - it's cleared. That's interesting. I seem to remember they were primarily a cloth company anyway, and so would be geared towards garments rather than accessories in the early years?

    No problem :) Yes you can see sometimes where the inspiration comes from for the modern trends. I have seen 'hoodies' in 1930s (American) catalogue scans - but it took a long time for them to catch on!

    Agreed - I've done it a few times with ties that have twisted. There's not really any way of ironing out that sort of thing when the tie is together - and in fact could ruin it more (and irreversibly) if Acetate is anything like Terylene.
