Gosh I've suddenly gone dizzy. I think I've seen that 'Burma' as a wallpaper somewhere. ;) All very nice though. I can appreciate them even if I wouldn't wear them. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Hah well it ain't! 1930s/1940s. But I take your point it is a modern pattern for an old tie. :p Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Thanks esteban68! It is a corker isn't it! Here's some more. My first EVER 'Blue Quality', and I'm thrilled with it. And a pretty psychedelic 'Standard Quality'. And a cravat, that's pretty nice too! Thanks for looking!

Really nice dh66! It reminds me of a phoenix or something, with those colours! This is a British tie, a Tootal 'Standard Quality'. Now just try and tell me it's boring! Also, I had forgot I had these, and I thought they might be of interest on this thread. A set of Bar-Pins, still on...

    30s-40s British Workwear Influenced Style

Hello folks, As I mentioned earlier, I've found that picture of my Grandpa (Papa to me) with his workmates at Langton Pit, circa late 1940s. My Papa is on the far left. What I find interesting is actually the caps aren't typical of what we would usually see for the era. My Granny says that he...

dh66 - very nice! I like the little pictures on the last one. Is it printed or painted? S-4-C - a very nice tie to start your vintage collection. Very crisp, very sharp.

Anyone looking to clear out thin ties? (50s/60s)

I have some, but not loads and loads. How many were you after?

Looks good! Either as it is or with a nice wool tie.

    What are you wearing today??

Definitely! Seems to me it wouldn't look quite right if it wasn't a bit beat-up and well loved. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

    What are you wearing today??

Oxford shirts do indeed weather well. Even when they get worn down to holes they still have a charm. What brand is your hat Big Man? It's great! Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Looking good HadleyH - looks like a nice place too! What's the temperature like? Just going on you wearing a sweater and a coat. --- OK people, lets end this cycle. We don't get to decide who we offend - if someone takes offense, then that is that. People have the same right to feel offended...

Tootal - The Company History and its products (ties, scarves etc)

Thanks TT, it's definitely gone to the top of my list. Lovely and bright for summer. I'd be interested to see your alternate pattern. There's seems to be limitless patterns for Tootal! Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

I bought these off of a friend of mine today. All in really good condition. Two 'Red Quality' ties - I especially like the red and white one. It's incredibly crisp. Two 'Black Quality' ties. The green/grey one is rather odd I think. Not a typical pattern, but nice nonetheless. And the...

    What are you wearing today??

Hadley H - looks like you're having a good time! Is that a cruise ship you're on? Here's what I wore the other day for a afternoon party - Puppy-tooth jacket with pleated patch-pockets (soon to have a belt-back), Klipper tie, flannel slacks and a Bailey's of Hollywood panama :) Thanks...

Tootal - The Company History and its products (ties, scarves etc)

Yes I'd be interested to know - it's the first 'Green Quality' that I've come across that isn't some measure of plaid/check. What's more, I've never myself come across any 'Sports Quality' ties with any sports on them! I've only ever seen them on this thread. I look forward to the day! Matching...
