I know I've already shown this suit gents, but I thought I'd show it in a more casual frame. John Collier, late 1950s.

You gents ever come across a silk and rayon mix? I've just received a lovely ivory opera scarf in that blend. It's incredibly light. I'll post it ASAP. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

You look great metropd! I'm thinking 1940s Dick Tracy comics. Would you mind giving some details on the outfit? Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

I suppose I'm pretty happy with that! Haha! Not that it's going to stop me wearing a DJ at any given opportunity... Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

I've a self-tipped tie of a similar age that boasts the fact that it's self-tipped. They're not bad I suppose, but they feel a bit anachronistic. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Tootal - The Company History and its products (ties, scarves etc)

Thanks TT! I'm thrilled that I've found two matching items. Now I'll be on the hunt for more, and the whole cycle starts again... Perverse to say, but I can't wait for a bit of cool weather, so I can unleash my scarves.

    What are you wearing today??

Hah! You're laughing TT, but nobody messed with me all night, or tried to deal Opium on my watch... Seriously though, I didn't realise my default stance was so thuggish! I guess dressing up doesn't matter if that's the image I'm projecting! Time to walk around with some books on my head...

Thanks Esteban. They are a bit tapered - I think the cuff is about 9.5". I think my waistcoat is a pretty non-standard type really. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Labels are always a finicky thing. I think very often they can trick you into assuming dates etc, when nobody in the day perhaps played by the rules in terms of the correct label to sew in! Here is my dinner suit, that I wore the other night for a black-tie wedding party. It's all from...

    What are you wearing today??

Retro S - Looking good! You've certainly got that 1950s youngster look down very well. guitarmasta12 - Very nice. I like your shoes. This is what I wore the other night, to a wedding party. It was black tie.

Tootal - The Company History and its products (ties, scarves etc)

Some new additions: Three Tootal scarves. My favourite has to be the blue one! A cracking Paisley. That last one has had the fringe cut off at some point, and for some reason the label is sewn on at an angle. I assume someone was a little bit squiffy when they sewed it in the factory! I had...
