Got these a week or so ago - just getting around to posting pix. Thin, yes. '50s or '60s or other, you decide. But the squared end one is sort of interesting, no?
Hey, remember me!? :)
I bought this Stratoliner from HatDoc when I met him at the Monteagle, TN Fedora Lounge event recently. Been too preoccupied with other stuff lately to post pix. Here's one, though. It's in perfect condition and after wetting and wearing, it's now a custom fit...
Thanks cookie and foofoogal for the informed opinions. I had a notion to use one or both of these but I'm becoming more inclined to list them for sale on Ebay.
Sorry I took so long. Don't know where the last couple days went. Busy season for me with caricatures and festivals plus doin' the Ebay thing.
So, sale is pending receipt of payment from fluteplayer. Consider these his.
Thanks! :)
I've scheduled this pair of AEs to list on Ebay Sunday evening at 6:30PM PDT. Auction will be for 7 days. FYI... :)
Listed as "ALLEN EDMONDS SANFORD MENS SHOES 8-1/2D COGNAC"
My seller ID is the same as my user name here.
Now, these are cool and if I can't sell them it won't break my heart as they fit me well. I haven't walked in them, however, as it appears no one ever has and I don't want to spoil the old new-ness of these deadstock classics.
Hard to say if they were made in the '50s, '60s or '70s but I...
I recently saw this hat and case up close and in-person. Fantastic rig, all around. The photos are good but can't really do it justice. Someone should snag this set ASAP.
Oh yeah, I also got these old game elements inside that Alley Oop box. I think they are from the '30s too (except for one of the Pin The Tail On The Donkeys).

I can't tell what 'vintage' this actually is but its' looks are so classic I had to let you Loungers know. Really reminds me of something from one of the '30s/'40s catalogs. It's probably a '60s or '70s item made with those styling cues as inspiration. Well made, at that. Actually fits a body...
Heads up to Loungers that I have TWO fantastic wool tweed overcoats with pre-1959 union tags up for auction. These could be early fifties or easily forties judging by the quality of construction and the nature of the styling.
HEAVY WINTER COAT #1...
GC, those are GREAT scores!! I too shy away from "Antique" stores generally but I did find some nice vintage fedoras at one last year so it does pay to check sometimes. :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
Got this over the weekend. Turns out it's complete with original game pieces - from 1936! (I'll be offering this for sale on EB.)
