With the info provided by LaMedicine and Foofoogal, I was able to view many online images of similar items - albeit they were in much better condition than mine. Oh well, I really like the charm of this...
Thank you, Jay - it does help. I also found a photo of Bamberger's store from the '70s with that logo in use. Looking like it's tying it together into that general period. Of course, they could have used that trademark from the '50s until the '80s when Macy's gobbled them.
Found this at a thrift shop. It just looks so old (and dirty, I might add) that I had to buy it. Seems to be cardboard of a sort. Handpainted, I imagine. Note the embossed blossom on the back and the Patent Info among the cracks, stains and burns. This thing has led a rough life.

Can you determine the date of manufacture by the tags on this sweater? The ILGWU emblem is something I haven't seen yet and I'd like to learn so I know when I see this again. Also, on the back of that tag is the Union emblem for the paper tag makers themselves (!).
Lately it's more like 'Wallet full of Cobwebs'... lol
