Seeking opinions of this Old Japanese Tray

This is fascinating. It is easy to believe that this could be over a century old. With the info provided by LaMedicine and Foofoogal, I was able to view many online images of similar items - albeit they were in much better condition than mine. Oh well, I really like the charm of this...

Please help me with info about this Union Tag

Thank you, Jay - it does help. I also found a photo of Bamberger's store from the '70s with that logo in use. Looking like it's tying it together into that general period. Of course, they could have used that trademark from the '50s until the '80s when Macy's gobbled them.

Seeking opinions of this Old Japanese Tray

Found this at a thrift shop. It just looks so old (and dirty, I might add) that I had to buy it. Seems to be cardboard of a sort. Handpainted, I imagine. Note the embossed blossom on the back and the Patent Info among the cracks, stains and burns. This thing has led a rough life. Please...

Please help me with info about this Union Tag

Can you determine the date of manufacture by the tags on this sweater? The ILGWU emblem is something I haven't seen yet and I'd like to learn so I know when I see this again. Also, on the back of that tag is the Union emblem for the paper tag makers themselves (!).

    Please pray for Chile

Now I think I may be groaning. This kind of tectonic activity certainly can have devastating effects for people. But as for the earth; it's simply living and quaking in the way it has for millions upon millions upon million of years. That's even before SUVs and everything. :)

    Please pray for Chile

I haven't been around television or computers for a couple of days but I heard about the quake soon after it happened. Marc, I thought of you immediately. Then I instinctively prayed for Chile and those who might be threatened by tsunami. I continue to hope for signs of grace in the midst of...
