A lot of the places you mention were FAR out of the reach of many people. Unless you were wealthy, a sailor of some description or your job took you to those locations, most people never went there. Travelling to Europe and England might've happened. But to places like Japan, China, Singapore...
Oh. Someone finally noticed!
Thanks.
I've lubricated it, cleaned it and then I also put some of my own gold and silver inside it.
Stuff I've bought, been gifted, or inherited. All solid gold or silver.
For something to be defined as 'racist', it would actually have to be prejudiced or discriminatory against a specific RACE. Or to be more specific, a particular ETHNICITY.
What ethnicity is being prevented from entering this restaurant based on those rules? Absolutely anyone could dress like...
I don't remember how old our fridge is. But we've had it since we moved into our house in 1992. That was over 20 years ago now. It's still going strong. Not packing up or passing out or anything.

Certainly I've met people who are like that.
One thing which I can't stand, and I'm finding this more and more these days - is that thing called planned obsolescence.
This ridiculous idea that everything we make has a finite life and when it's buggered it's buggered and we throw it out and...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the SINGER which made typewriters (AND automobiles) is an entirely different company from that which made sewing machines?
"NAME!?"
"MALARKEY! PRIVATE DONALD G.!"
"Malarkey. That's slang for bull****, isn't it?"
"Sir, Yes sir!"
"Rust on the butt-plate hinge-spring, Private Bull****! Pass revoked!"
