My Barbi'
The Olney
Both quite simple plain fedoras.
One of several in Lagos' flexile line, with I think are all foldable fur felts.
The easy to find & often cheap Borso 'rain proof line', below. My least favorite.
No secret. People waiting 10%-15% of an average human lifespan :rip: for the hat they paid a mere four or five bills for, some six, seven, eight years ago. It's the stuff of High Drama* over at COW, to read it you will have to register tho'.
It is rather "Stockholm Syndrome"- like, imo...
Odd Square Crease on Open Road-ish Vintage Stetson
...never seen this before;
I rather like it. I may have to just snap the brim & leave the crown untouched, eh?
Look too at Lagomarsino hats they make an entire line of FF flexal travel hats. Christy's make a nice FF folder, 2 3/8" brim, I think. Olney in the UK makes a nice traveler and Barbisio hats makes a fine folder. The felt feels like my tissue thin, light vintage felts. Borsalino makes at least...
I asked Mr. Mark to trim back the brim to 3" or under- this being the result;
And the B4-
He himself agreed that the proportions looked better with the slightly narrower brim.
I'll get it Friday. I am chuffed.
These guys were as nice and kind and just as accommodating imaginable. Very...

Not yet...
I was born in Iowa but, I will, with God as my witness, die in Alberta! :canada: My wife is a born & bred Calgarian (Why she went and married a hillbilly I'll never know.) and I think it is one of the nicest places I have ever spent time. Even at minus 40.
Currently we are in...
Thanks!
Quite likely I've vastly underestimated the number such craftsmen.
I don't know all of southern Alberta, but I have been around & that is real cowboy and cattle country.
I sure would like to find someone there! All I know is Smithbilt.
Please forgive me, English is a second language, to wit;
Might there be anyone else, someone more acquainted, perhaps, with the trade or someone involved in CASS or SAS or maybe someone who has visited, has/does currently live in/near the town of Greeley in the State of Colorado who, would have...
He does not self-ID. I have axed (as is said down h'yere) and have as yet received no reply, but thanks, I never would've :censored: thought of that, Chief. :rolleyes:
I just got this lovely 100% Beaver from a hatter out of Loveland, Colorado.
Does anyone know who this is?
I did a quick scan of the horizon and Greeley Hat Works is the only name I have yet come up with...little help?[huh]
