    Willoughby Hats...of Paris?

Willoughby Pt. Deux So another Willoughby came up, same BIN, same seller.... and so on. So I bit. This one is, regrettably, not labeled Canadian Beaver like the last, but it too was a 60 and so very similar, must have belonged to the same owner. It is absolutely the finest felt I have yet...

    Hat Storage

My Attempt -----> I bought 50 uline 15" x 15" x 6" corrugated cardboard boxes for $50 beans. And now am thinking to, perhaps, buy a load of acid free tissue paper in which to ensconce the hats as to mitigate the fact I cannot afford 50+ acid-free boxes. Question: Is the tissue paper a waste...

    Willoughby Hats...of Paris?

    Willoughby Hats...of Paris?

Well the roll of the dice was rewarded in this instance. This is one of the three finest fur felts I own. Unbelievably thin yet dense, floppy but will hold a crease, 2 3/4" brim and a generous 6"+ open crown. French 7 3/8, so a roomy 60. I have found out very little of the company, Willoughby...

NO MORE! I recently bought 50 of the above in an effort to impose order upon chaos, seen below. I plan to line the boxes with acid free buffered tissue paper in an effort to keep the hats out of an acidic environment. And then stack 'em like soldiers on a parade ground. Thoughts?

    Willoughby Hats...of Paris?

...it has the highest crown & widest brim I have seen lately. Only ever seen a handful more. One or two here and the one owned by The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute. Looks promising. Can anybody tell me anything about this Parisian Hatter with the Brit name?

Very pleased He is very customer oriented, very considerate and accommodating. This beaver is tough as any Akubra or service Stratton, yet very smoothly pounced with a unpretentiously charming take on this classic. And as I told Mark finally a black (really deep gray) hat that won't have...
