Indycop, I LOVE the M1 rifle - what a machine! You can see why GIs in WWII and Korea thought so highly of it. Deacon, Even the broomie clips won't work if the spring isn't taut enough. I've never tried M16 clips. Supposedly, Beretta SMG clips will work in a broom and look almost identical to the broom clips. The difference is that the spring is fire-blued in the Beretta clips. John- Levallois

This isn't a Swiss Luger but a commercial Model 1900. The Swiss Lugers look pretty much like these - both have the early toggle - I think the Swiss models had a different grip and had the Swiss cross on top of the receiver? Happy Holidays! John- Levallois

Lauren Bacall is 84 today!
I'm two months late but Happy Birthday to Ms. Bacall. Her performance at the ripe old age of 19 in "To Have and Have Not" in 1944 is the reason my daughter was named Lauren in 1986. Ms. Bacall was something in that movie! John- Levallois
