    The New Aero Blizzard

I think it is a re-creation of a 1930's car coat that I recall seeing as being auctioned on Ebay for over $2000 so may well appeal to collectors/motoring enthusiasts

First Aero custom jacket, some thoughts and anything to look out for?

I think decent leather jackets are hanger-only.Way too hefty for loops, especially FQHH.Maybe consider their Hudson or NorthEaster styles as these have a lot of cargo-space.I think your holster would go in one of the cargo pockets. Apologies....On re-reading your original post I guess the...

London winter: how warm a leather?

I find a moleskin lining to be a good compromise between cotton and alpaca when teamed with a heavy weight hide .I have alpaca lined jackets and find them too warm once I have walked a couple of miles in temperatures much over 50F.Really nice tho' if it is colder than that and with a...

I think you would love a 30's Half Belt in brown CXFQHH.It is a jacket you can wear all the time and goes well with virtually any combination of trousers and head wear. You will be smitten and start planning your next jacket!

    Mouton collar agony

If you have your collar up the rain runs straight down the back of your neck so I suggest a hip flask full of something warming!

    Red Wing Iron Ranger boots

I bought a pair of size 10D Red Wing Loggers from a vendor on Etsy.I normally take a UK size 9 but these are a comfortable fit.I think I'm trying to say that Etsy is worth searching if you don't mind a used pair. The quality of the boots is excellent.

    Ava Gardner: The Secret Conversations

My strongest impression after reading these biographies was that she was utterly fearless....water skiing to the set of Night of The Iguana, going off by herself to night spots in Moscow and my favorite, hosting a party in her room for some refuse disposal men who gave her a lift back to her...

    My new pair of Aeros.

Gorgeous jackets.Love the coin pocket on the D and how the angle of the zipped pocket and the hand-warmer pocket are the same. The tumbled hide on the Hercules is fabulous.Nice to have a jacket with "formal" classic style and another with a personally designed "attitude"

    Barbour International in Horween Steer

Looks too small for the person modeling it.Think it would work better if it was more 'rangy' in fit.Vincent riders used to call it "the sack of potatoes" stance which was not stylish but comfortable over a long distance.Think it would look great after a few years use though...
