I think that seal is close to dark brown and that dark seal is nearly black in the examples that I have seen.I cant comment on its durability. As far as I know,Vicenza is a fairly recent addition to premier garment manufacturers stock and most jackets take a long time to really get worn...
This post might help.I have an Original Hercules in Dark Seal Vicenza and the rain just bounces off.The colour is similar to a dark chocolate tho' I cant specify which brand.

Motorcycle Gang from 1957 carries on the theme of delinquency and rebellion with the redemption of the hero by his civic decency.Apart from that-A lot of Perfecto and Buco jackets being put to good use.
This is an Aero 30's HB in heavy brown steerhide for comparison. This is as it came of course but it is a seriously gorgeous hide.I don't have any close-up pictures but the hide is very malleable and shows a lighter shade when handled despite being immensely tough
Terrible news.I've sometimes pondered the feasibility of having my jackets micro-chipped.I suppose if thieves knew they were 'tagged' they would be able to remove them but this would still leave a trace......
Possibly an Aero Rockafella or Sea Biscuit though these too have quite large lapels.Plenty of well-worn biker jackets to choose from also, from bare essential cafe-racer styles to cross-zipped Bucos
I would say that of the two alpaca would be the warmest.I find that much over 10 degrees C and with high humidity it can be too warm and thats worn with only a long sleeved cotton t shirt underneath. Its luxurious though when teamed with layers on a cold windy day.
From Aero's Instagram page. The bulk of my riding was done in the Eighties when I had an ill-fitting Mascot leather jacket and Belstaff nylon trousers.I think the jacket style as illustrated is stylish and would probably adapt well to under-armour depending on how loose you like your jackets
