I originally shot the photo outside but the ribbon was distorted in the image. I was forced to resort to this indoor photo. Anyway, I was out making arrangements to mail my 7 year old British Tan Optimo back to Chicago because the ribbon was badly wrinkled when it was originally sent to me...
This is a reposting of a photo I posted on the "What Hat Are You Wearing Today thread a couple of days ago. I thought I would repost the photo on this Thread. It is an Optimo Super Fino that I bought about 7 years ago from Graham through Carolyn Busch's store in Menlo Park. Hopefully you can...
Out grocery shopping on an overcast morning in the East Bay. This is an Optimo Thunder Gray and is a hat I frequently wear for day to day purposes. Not flashy but it can be worn with a lot of different clothes from casual to more formal. The feather is mine addition and for most id an aquired...
Still have not mastered my photographic skills but want to contribute. The sun came out of the clouds early this morning in the Bay Area so I brought out this Panama. It is an Optimo Super Fino and hopefully you can bet a sense of the denseness of the weave

Still cool in the morning in the Bay Area. The fog and high clouds will burn off this afternoon. I broke out the Mitchum Oxblood with the teardrop crease from Optimo. I added the feathers but I may remove them
This is not a hat I wear very often and I purchased it as a experiment to see if I liked it. Its not that I don't like it but I don't like it enough to wear on a regular basis. The hat is an Optimo Blue Longhair
As we have learned, feathers in hats are an acquired taste not shared by by many. The nice thing is that they can be removed or changed out. Below is an Optimo in Canyon Grey. Graham has told me he gets his feathers from people who make fishing lures.
I am retired and thus no longer have to wear a suit or sport coat and slacks every day. I also periodically purge the wardrobe and acquire new clothes. None are vintage, all clothes are modern and made to measure from Italian designers. I have a weakness in a couple of areas and have...
I have been following this forum for several years and finally decided to join. I started purchasing Optimo hats through Carolyn Busch's store (Fino Fino in Menlo Park CA) when Graham Thompson used to make his annual visit there. As a result, I have acquired more that a dozen hats, mostly...
All in good time my friend. I don't want to frighten the general populace, small children and animals. I also wan to wait for a new iPhone with more megapixels, Mine is the iPhone 4s
