    I adapted it from Lady Bollinger: I drink Champagne when I'm happy and when I'm sad. Sometimes I drink it when I'm alone. When I have company I consider it obligatory. I trifle with it if I'm not hungry and drink it when I am. Otherwise, I never touch it -- unless I'm thirsty.

    On the 'usual' shawl collar jackets, how useful are the patch pockets? I'm thinking that I may not be able to go the 'long coat' look in tan, etc., but I also don't want to get just another jacket with slash pockets. Huh, I like the way that I can think myself out of this :)

    I am, in a persistent madness, considering a Statesman in a camel/tan colour, shortened by two inches. It would be fantastic in the winter here. If it can go from being 31 inches to 29 inches in length, it'll work. Now that I'm overseas again, I can order another one. That's how it works...
