    Vanson cafe racer fit for riding

    None of my new jackets have had sleeves get longer as they've broken in. All have gotten shorter with creases.

    Vanson cafe racer fit for riding

    I have a Vanson Enfield that I wear a Knox Armored Shirt under. I also have a vintage Fidelity cafe racer jacket & an AL Dirt Rider. Typically, I only wear the Knox shirt when going on long trips or up in the serious twisties. I like the jackets to fit over a long sleeve thermal with a tshirt...

    The Stratoliner Society {VINTAGE}

    I've got vintage thin ribbons by Marathon, Pilgrim, Dobbs, Disney, Knox & Resistol but none measure up to the Royal Deluxe Stratoliner. I LOVE my mid-ribbons too but they just seem a tad more dressier than thin ones which are my daily-wear lids. HatCo really needs to have a museum for us to...

    The Non Shorpy Web All Stars.

    Howdy Cuz! My Great-great-great grandfather married Elizabeth Ann Pattillo who is related to founders of Houston County, just 1 county over from Dodge County. Will have to see if any branches of the family tree spreads that way.

    Fur felt types?

    When I visited the Winchester factory, the head man showed us a 100% pure beaver belly fur felt body, not just pure beaver but only the belly fur of the beaver. I've been on the tour twice & never heard about blending in other animal fur with their pure beaver fur felt bodies. I can see adding...

    Ask a question, get an answer

    I have a vintage Resistol that I've converted to an outback look, teardrop crease, 2 3/4" brim, black leather band, that rides in the left saddle bag of my Road King. The right bag is the "hot" bag on an Harley, left is cooler cause of less exhaust running thru that side. I don't have true...

    The Non Shorpy Web All Stars.

    Did work with Crisp County Power Commission back in the early 1980's. Have relatives all over that area. Have a place on Lake Blackshear where CCPC has the hydro dam to generate their power.

    Recommendation for Outdoors Hat

    I've got a Nutria blend hat from Art Fawcett at Vintage Silhouette...He used to have 2 standard models in this felt = very durable, great "using" outdoor hat. Use it hunting, fishing, etc. in cooler months. Bluegrass Green Campdraft as Moon stated was my go-to lid before getting this one.
