I've got the OR Royal Deluxe in the sage & the natural color. It is sort of like the Road Master that came out a few years back, definitely darker than the regular silverbelly. I don't consider the band & brim binding that contrasting tho. -

Get some Zippo Lighter fluid & soak a Q-tip, then dab it . I removed felt marker writing out of a vintage Stetson. It is basically naptha. Dab, don't rub cause that could smear it. I use talcum powder from my pool table to also lift stains. Sprinkle it on, gently finger-rub it in, brush or... -

Brim question
From what I can tell, the ends of the brim start to flare up some which is a tad different than an outback style brim but not a pencil curl. Underwelt & Overwelt are the ends of the brim rolled under or over & sewn to give double thickness & structure to the brim. Sometimes, wire it sewn in... -

I have a vintage Stetson 25 Corral that looks just like this CD, raw edge, 2 ply ribbon with the body of an Open Road. It is the spittin' image of this CD. A Dune has a bound edge. -

Sanitizing Caps ?

I've used Neatsfoot OIL not Compound on my grandfather's old boots. They softened up good. Compound will breakdown stitching. -

Stetson's current offering of Stratoliner comes in a few grades = Excellent, Premier, & Royal. I have examples of all 3. I also have a Moonstone Fed4 Deluxe. To me, the Premier Stratoliner & the Fed4 Deluxe (Akubra Heritage grade) are on par. I won't wear or own a Royal Stetson Stetson modern... -
