Thanks for the very measured review, Marc!
I absolutely get what you’re saying re „good value but not good enough for import prices“. I have the same feeling when it comes to my Vibergs. They’re great boots, but not EUR 1.000 great. More like the EUR 500, a pair of Dundas cost. At the same...
First real wear to the new to me Vanson "B".
A bit of room, especially after removing (I guess permanently) the grabby, use- and needless fleece-liner. With the action-back, I may even be able to get myself into a size 40.
I could do without the wind-flap, but otherwise it feels good, and it´s...
Thank you Brian! I really like how it fits. It’s a bit more roomy, for sure, but pliable enough to not let me swim in it. Any smaller would not really be comfortable for everyday wear as a shirt.
The older I get, the more firmly I root for camp, “a little big is better than a little small”.
Week 5 (ctd.) - First rain
Extended stroll through the countryside on a cool, gloomy and windy Sunday. Got into a drizzle, and the hide pretty much soaked the rain up. Not much visual impact, as far as I can see.
Week 5
Still wearing the shirt whenever at can. I would say the hide is now pretty much broken in. Except for the areas where the leather is doubled up (Collar, cuffs, pockets etc.), the hide is pretty soft and has lost much of its initial rigidity.
Colour is coming along nicely, but as I am...

The Mullholland actually replicates the "Trojan Leather Sportswear" logo (helmet and all). So if you pick up the jcket with an untrained eye, you won´t find a reference to "Freewheelers" but only to Trojan Sportswear.
I just mentioned Himel as I find his (oil-tan) leather is nicer than the leather on the FW.
As to designs, he doesn´t offer anything similar to the Mulholland/Mobster.
He´s expensive, and I always had good experience with him personally and my jackets are super. Others have less positive...
You know, I had the same dilemma: I really like both jackets, but feel they are too similar to justify buying both.
Ultimately, the “Mulholland“ was the itch I just HAD TO scratch, so I got it. Call it a victim of the at times almost mythical admiration it received a couple of years back.
If...
Week 4 - It’s getting better man!
Trying to get in as much wear as I possibly can, temperature and social compatibility permitting (interpreting the later rather liberally, as in, “everywhere except for work).
The leather is still stiff in the torso, but there’s a lot happening in terms of...
