Bill Kelso "Archive" Jackets - Reproductions

There are many mysteries involving Bill Kelso. I note that his website lists a UK address, but that is likely to be a postbox only . His FAQ´s now deal with a lot of the issues discussed here. He still claims to produce in Greece, so that is that.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

My experience is that I can very much trust the numbers to see if and how a jacket fits me. I usually want to see 23"-23,5" P2P but can go down into the lower 22s if I have an action back or other "room-generating" features (underwarm-gussets etc.). I always thought that a size 42 model "E"...

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Ha! If I’d take my wife to Zurich I would be equally broke but without a new jacket (for myself, that is)… :) No, seriously, VMC is a great place, and the people there are super sweet!

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Indeed! And certainly not before! Too many great but expensive jackets, shirts, boots. You need all your seven senses on high alert, or you leave the store broke.

Iron Heart „Pale Rider“ Evolution Thread

Thank you! Pants are "Blaumann" out of Berlin. Their cuts are a bit more forgiving than IH (you can size down one from IH to them).

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Thanks a lot! I am wearing only a T-Shirt, so fit will even get better with some layering. This begs to be a foul-weather jacket!

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Thanks, Tony. A "king" indeed, and from a time when kingdoms were passed along in bare-knuckle fights. One of my less subtle jackets. ;)

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Great! One of my favourite FW models. I like how it fits. Will make a stellar 3-season-jacket!

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Vanson “E“ from a fellow lounger. Flawless condition with two belts and a mouton collar. This is a tank of a jacket, and it will need to get WAY colder for me to be able to wear it. I have been looking for this model for some time now. Thanks to @ton312 for advising on the correct size. Vanson...

    Fit check on Vanson Commando

Personally, I think it looks good. Break-In will help too. However, if YOU feel it’s too big, then it probably is…

Footwear to go with our jackets

Thanks much! Cannot recommend the guys at Burg&Schild enough for helping me with the sizing.

Good quality but affordable first leather jacket

My rule-of-thumb rationale is: - Size 42 for the standard (1930s cut) offerings. - Size 40 for the 1950s offerings (including HWM) - Size 44 for the "Premier" range. As always: the safest bet would be to measure a jacket that fits good and take these numbers as a departure point (not as the...

Good quality but affordable first leather jacket

I do get it! I was living on a very, very tight budget, until I was about 30, so good quality leathers were completely out of the question. Unfortunately, you won´t get any of the brands discussed here in new condition (unless, of course, there is a factory sale). I guess, in your shoes, I...

Good quality but affordable first leather jacket

There is a Vanson Enfield in size 42 in the Clássifieds at the moment. The price is great, IMO. The Enfield runs large (but so does the HWM). I include a picture of mine, so that you can see what to expect. FYI: I am also a 42 in most Aero styles. I could probably sqeeze into a size 40 Enfield.
