Akubra Overload

I use a hat Jack from time to time, or a hat block the shape and size of my head. Got a few from Art Fawcett back when he made me hats. What can help is taking out the hat reed (wire inside the sweat band) help it stretch out without fighting it. Johnny- johnnycanuck

Merry Christmas everyone. The cold snap is backing off. -16c feel damn near summer weather compared to the -35c of the last week. My old Akubra Croc when shoveling snow. (Back when they offered the Croc in a pork pie crown) Have a great holiday everyone.- johnnycanuck

Unique Crown Shapes
Here is one. It started as a basic cattleman crease Stetson. When I knocked it out to open crown this is the only shape that seems natural for it. Everything else I tried seemed forced. Not the normal but it works.- johnnycanuck

Help with a Panama please
I am obviously late to the game but PHD is who I would recommend as well. They are true Panama hats, meaning they are hand mode in Ecuador. Keep in mind as they are hand made you will have individual “character” to each hat. Let us know when you get it and share your thoughts. Johnny- johnnycanuck

That could be a good option. The brim may be wider in the Akubra sombrero. Are you planning on wearing it like Kurt? Over a hoodie? you would have to go up a few hat sizes to make it fit. Feel like joining in. My Federation Deluxe III that’s over 16 years old. Probably the hat I wear most out of all of them.
