    Post New Hats Here!

A co-worker went to Laos over Christmas to be with his wife’s family. I off handed said I would love a typical hat from the area if he had time or space. He was back today and brought me this. That’s my oldest and is just about as excited as I am. Apparently this is known as a Rice Farmers hat...

Giant Pith Helmet Thread of Doom

Went to Petland today. A pet store chain that workers wear khaki clothing, safari style. One of the workers was actually wearing a straw pith hat like the one Jack Black wore in the movie Jumanji...

Have you tried putting some leather conditioner or mink oil on the hat band. It will be good for the leather and probably darken it up. Just remember to slide some cardboard behind to protect the felt. Johnny

    Akubra Overload

Not bad for a factory defect. Bought it off the bay over ten years ago and the brim was shaped to a 30 degree from the crown. Easy fix https://hatsdirect.com/collections/the-akubra-range-1/products/campdraft-open-crown Maybe you shouldn’t wait so long to buy what you like. :p:D Just joking...

    Playboys on Parade!

Another beautiful example of the Playboy with so many differences it’s like it’s not even a playboy. Wider bound brim with the vent. I wonder if the block is the same. Almost a playboy meets the stratoliner. Always jealous of these great finds. Wear it in good health and I look forward to seeing...

Thoes look fantastic. He could go into business making them for lounge members. Very cool and stylish. Johnny. The two things I have read on Akubra groups that actual Australians cowboys do to their Akubras when they are too tight is take the reed out of the sweat band or cut the back of the...
