Of all the jackets I've seen you wear during the period that I've been paying attention, this is by far the most visually striking. I'd have never guessed that a white leather jacket could look so sharp. Were it mine I'd leave it exactly like it is as any stripes or patches would immediately...
1) I ride... but not w/ a leather jacket. That said, I would never ask that that windflap be deleted.
3) I like the comp weight hide. I have an older Vanson comp weight and a new B on order w/ their non-comp. Looking forward to comparing them.
5) I'd consider getting a little extra room...
The dirt track guys like that jacket design. Not sure why. I have a DT605 (the bike for it) but have never raced dirt track and those days of thinking I might just give it a whirl are behind me.
Xlnt info. Thanks to all.
I've got a Vanson test fit jacket en route to me and they said I could put my jacket in w/ theirs for the return trip once fitment's been sorted. I'll send it back to them w/ my old white label and get it professionally cleaned. In the interim I'll think a little...
HBD! Xlnt choice of shirt and the chance to ponder the past as well as the future. There are at least a couple of generations past that have worn that same shirt while contributing to the tapestry that we've all become part of. Many of us enjoy what you contribute here, now.
Wear it well.
Those pocket flaps are somewhat unique in the world of cowboy shirts. Usually these shirts do not have an offset snap on an asymmetrically cut pocket flap. Never seen 'em like that before your posts.
Xlnt choice. I called Vanson today and asked if they'd wash and redye.
They said "wash, yep".
"Dye, nope".
Looks a little like the choice might be getting a little easier.
Here are a few pics of the jacket:

Today I'm wearing it as well but instead of putting it on and thinking about fit I instead put a vest on first. It's a Fox Creek, black, thick and heavy leather w/ braided accents and buffalo nickel snaps. My wife thinks it looks like a...
The second was an older G-8. I've heard enough controversy as to whether or not these were bonafide gov't issue jacket and for all I know they're an invention from the minds of the Indiana Jones crew.
Size 44 but fits closer to a 46 aside from being a tad short and my simian arms would dig a...
I've worn two different jackets today.
The first was an old Vanson Associates white label from somewhere around the mid to late 1970's. I have no idea what model this is. Size is listed as 46 but it fits like a 48. I love the roominess of the shoulders and chest where it fits perfectly but am...
I have a few jackets and among them is an old White Label Vanson. It says "welcome to 1970" in a way that most older jackets can't. When I think of the jackets of that era several designs were over the top and something I couldn't wear with any regularity now. This one though is clearly a...
