@Hurricane Jack, @Short Balding Guy, I’m always amazed at your discipline with photo taking of your hats and drinks. I neglect to get pictures more often than not. But I always try to get a shot when I try something new or different.
Yesterday’s beer was a Lithuanian “Hoptomist” rich lager.

Out for dinner after an early finish to work on Saturday. I went for my Panama, and Etsuko a Tula palm straw.
Shopping on Sunday in my Akubra Capricorn.
I’m in Team Shorts!
Admittedly, it’s usually with straw, but I always wear my Akubra barbecue hat with shorts for summer barbecues.
Barbecuing again. Chicken thighs and a bottle of Shiraz I picked up in Australia in February. My second time doing chicken thighs. They turned out great, but still room for improvement. The wine was excellent.
The hat was the regular barbecue hat - Akubra Cattleman.
Opened the Scarabus cask strength today. A bit much kick for Etsuko - she ended up adding some ice cubes, but I enjoyed it straight.
I wasn’t wearing a hat, but earlier, I was reading outside in my Akubra Blue Mountains while sitting outside reading my book. Here it is with the Scarabus, and...

Glad to see it looks great after a bit of work.

Still bugs me to this day.
We had visitors from Australia staying with us on Sunday night. I took Monday off also to spend time with these great friends.
On Sunday, I went for my Silverbelly Campdraft
Apologies to Stefan for failing to get yakitori pictures.
On Monday, we went to a restaurant at a fish market. I got...
Cracked open a bottle of Shiraz that I bought in Australia. Very nice.
Etsuko made an excellent pasta to go with it.
Today‘s hat was a Fed IV, but no pics.
My niece gave us a bottle of Fuji-Sanroku as a thanks for putting her up and showi her around a bit recently. Today we cracked it open. It’s a pleasant enough drop. Probably not one we’d purchase for ourselves,, but we will certainly enjoy sipping it, and all the more since it came from a...
I steamed a front pinch into my 1960s Akubra Stylemaster last night, and wore it today. I believe it originally had a front pinch (as do the modern Stylemasters), but the previous owner clearly held this hat by the crown pinch. The felt is so thin there, I wasn’t sure if it would hold the...
