I solved a mystery (it's been a long while)! Back in 2021 I acquired an Austrian Wool Stiff Felt with no company mark on the liner and sweatband and only this "St. Veit" (a district of Vienna) mark on the paper label. At the time I made many searches and wasn't able to come up with anything...
Tim, Thanks. I have a lot of information but it needs to be translated. I was lucky to tour Tonak twice. Tonak is the last of the large scale (Fur Cutting, Fur Felt Production, Hat Production) factories.
J. Hückel´s Söhne "Sigma Foulard" "Seal Velour" possibly late 1920s early 1930s. The close cropped black Velour is really fantastic with very high gloss and is light in weight. This hat was restored by Optimo back in 2009.
I saw fur cutting when I first visited the Tonak factory in 2011. They are the only factory left that does everything (fur cutting, felt production, hat production) at the same location (factory goes back to the 1860s).
Here is my FL post on 220 Anniversary from 2019. This is the Tonak...
Mayser Ulm moved their felt production to Portugal around 1990. This put FEPSA on the map because Mayser Ulm was the world leader. Mayser Ulm moved their fur pelt cutting and pickling to Portugal in the mid 1960s. FEPSA is a customer of Bahner Hat Machines.
J. Hückel´s Söhne "Flexible" "Rauh" possibly later 1930s. The light weight Rauh / Rough finish mélange felt is fantastic. The hand is very soft with not much nap. The overall condition is great. I found this Soft Felt back in 2020.

Marcel,
Super find and in fantastic condition! This is a Type 2 celled label. They are earlier paper labels. You can see more here (see link below). I need to update the thread although your hat is probably the only one. Can you please post your hat here...
Dermotta Wien, date stamped December, 1955. I have to say I really like this Homburg. Great felt, form, components and workmanship. I found this Homburg back in 2011.
"Dermotta Vienna" "Leopold Dermottta Wien" Display Stand, possibly 1920s. Daniele kindly gifted me this display...
Janyška & Cie. "Praga" possible late 1930s early 1940s. This sporty Homburg is from my 2016 NOS Czech find.
Not a Austrian company but grew out of that tradition. Janyška was started in the 1920s in Valašské Meziříčí – Krásno about 25 km from Nový Jičín. By the way this is the...
