men's wear...
Umm, not sure, but I think those are women. Well, maybe boys? Teenagers. Not men though.
Seriously, these are either women or little boys, look at the lack of facial hair (even with a good shave).
Awesome
Finally I get to see a picture of someone who is follicley challenged like me!
:offtopic:
I see tons of good looking outfits here, but none seem to be modeled by men who are a little bald on top. I have trouble finding shirts or jackets that don't wash me out (I'm rather bald on...
My Shave Today
This has been my routine for about the last two weeks:
Merkur Classic, closed comb
Speick shaving cream
Speick after shave
Savile row 3824
I've been trying the feather blades lately. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I find them to be almost too sharp. I like the...
You can use any shaving cream with a DE razor. However, you might as well get him some awesome shaving cream! There are so many good brands out there.
I would suggest something from any of the following Taylor of Old Bond Street, Truefitt and Hill, The Art of Shaving, DR Harris, or maybe...
DE stands for double edge. They are the safty razors. I like the Murker (spelling?). I have the Classic, the one that runs around $30 or so. I bought it from Classic Shaving and their service was good and prompt. What kind of shaving cream does your husband use? Or, does he use shaving soap?
Nice Ring
Nice ring! I have a wedding ring, and a school ring that my mom purchased for me. I haven't been wearing the school ring for some reason. So lately I've been a one ring guy.
However, I love the style of this ring. If the wife gave me something like that, I would totally wear it!
Traits
What a good thread! Ok, let me see. I'm an old school shaver: Merkur saftey razor, classic; 3824 Savilrow shaving brush; I have about 10 different shaving creams and about five different shaving soaps-- Musgo Real is my favorite cream and Tabac is my favorite soap!
I actually...
OMG! I've seen Manic's videos. They are so funny. He is a little OCD. lol
I have a Savil Row 3824 shaving brush at home and use a T&H travel brush when I travel. I just love the feeling of the warm brush and cream on my face. I also love shaving with a "tool" and not a "toiletry" item. I...
Why r we here?
Why am I here? That is a good question. I originally came here because someone on Badger and Blade recommended it to me when I got over a bout of skin cancer and needed a hat.
After surfing around a bit I stayed. I always like suites from the 40’s through the 50’s and early...
Shaving Old School
I love shaving with a DE and a brush. Sometimes I use shaving cream (old style not in a can) and sometimes I use shaving soap.
Before I got deployed, I was working on my own shaving cream. I almost got it down pat! Hopefully, I'll get volunteers to try it and give me feed...
Such amazing words Carlisle Blue. I'm going to write it down and tape it above my bunk.
I've never been afraid to die, just how I was going to die, and when. I don't want to leave old Earth until I finish some more stuff. Mrs. Slygi wants 2 more kids. lol
And, if I go, I don't want it to...
How about a gratitude list?
I've heard that around 40 is when many people change careers. However, if you love what you do and you are just having a bad year, you may not want to change.
Who knows, maybe it's a "mid-life crisis" triggered by going to your father's grave. My father died...
comfort
You know, it does seem to me that my pants would be a little more comfortable around my navel. I'm a little on the chubby side (but not too chubby) and the next time I go in to get a suite altered, I'll see what they can do with bringing the pants up.
Wheres my waist?
Hmmm, you know I'm not sure where MY waste is! lol
I kind of have my belt around the fat part of my navel. Or rather the fat part around my mid section, that happens to be around my navel. So the suite pants should be just above my navel?
Ok, I don't post much and I lurke a little more.
So here is my question. I was just looking at the thread: 1940 Spring/Summer Mont. Ward suits
And, I noticed a lot of the mens' suits from that period seem to have a "high" waistline. Like, it looks like to me that the belt is up around the...
"How we seem to love and hate those men and women we never knew. What we would give to know their secrets: how Dad managed to come home at 5 p.m. to read the paper or watch TV while Mom fixed dinner and bathed the kids. How Mom turned up at school, every day, unrumpled, coiffed, unflappable. And...
Scarry
Ok, so this quote totally weirds me out.
"It also means that other than sometimes her pants, Honey never buys women's clothes. Once, while on fancy dress night on a Carnival cruise, they both wore tuxedos."
Yikes. I like my women to look like a woman. I like my woman to be...
ornerly old lady
She's an ornery old air craft carrier. More power to her!!! She isn't used to having little boats push her around. They should have asked politely!
