    Vintage Stetson - The Sovereign?

Stetson Sovereign Twenty, late 50's or so, with wind trolley. On the thin side and very pliable.

Once is forgivable, thanks for the info. Thanks, the location stamp was a dealmaker for me, seems to sprinkle some cred on the package.

Stetson Sovereign Twenty, one in the ocean of small sizes. Maybe I'm lucky to have a pin head. From my limited 'knowledge' I'm guessing late '60's?

    The Dobbs Diner...

Royal Coachman, near mint... Wondering if this could be pre '70's? The original price seems expensive. Luckily I got it for a song, skipped the dance.

What is your favorite hat crease?

Thank ya very much. I was going for a Spy vs Spy from MAD, but couldn't quite pull it off. Only made it to alien- esque.

Wondering what decade this minky brown Dobbs is from? The only paper label is the price, at $30. Quite luscious felt and finish.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Well, we haven't 'met' but I know you as the notorious 'brim up dude'. I've been seeing posts of your collection for several months now. Good job, above and beyond. This a cheapie from the bargain basement at the Stetson Outlet in Saint Joseph's Mo. Bought as a open crown and 2" ribbon. Creased...

    Stetson Hemp Stratoliner

Here's the navy after a week of sun fade. It didn't get much air time this season, way too busy wearing a faded sage.

How's this for a subjective observation? Out West anything with a brim under 3" is a stingy, and on the East coast a brim over 2" is a cowboy hat.

Very nice, looks to be the same sandy color. Was that made by Lee or Resistol? I'm told mine was the latter indicated by the same XXX QUALITY stamp used by that company.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Thank you sir, but a junker it will be due to a polyester sweat, unusable stiff liner, and a unpounced interior. Certainly not preservation worthy. Also required exterior sanding.

Thank you, it is rather comfortable and thick enough for cold weather.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Went out of my way by hours to visit Stetson outlet in St Joseph MO. Nothing there for me, but found this in the deep discount department. Best quality? It fit. I got an idea to make an imitation Stratoliner so I won't worry about a vintage on the job. Brand new beater; just needed a lot...
