It doesn't mean much. Even a famous hat-shop like Lock&Co was not listed as a hat manufacturer. They would have been listed as "hatter". As far as I can tell from the available information it meant that they didn't make their own felt.Thats interesting!

Late 50s? early 60s maybe. A real nice piece. The Hatted Professor has some insight on the Coachman hats. It is worth the read.Wondering what decade this minky brown Dobbs is from? The only paper label is the price, at $30.
