    1940s art deco garbage find!

So my fiance and I were exiting the rear of our apartment a few days ago and what do we find among the garbage? This beautiful sideboard/buffet cabinet. We were stunned that someone would throw this out, so we hauled it upstairs immediately. Its in great shape, with the usual dings and scratches...

    Vintage Wool riding breeches reduced

Vintage pair of wool riding breeches, i have no idea when these were made though. In excellent condition, made of nice thick wool with leather re-inforcing patches. Laces run up the legs. Nice scalloped rear pockets. There is no tag on the inside. Looks to be a 30-31 inch waist size. Sorry for...

A2 with wool cuffs and waist

I would highly recommend the 1988 "Saddlery" A-2s that were re-issued to the USAF. They are made of russet goatskin, with wool cuffs and light brown cotton lining. As modern A-2s go, its a pretty nice one, and as an added bonus, its an official military garment. They usually run between 100-150...

    WWI Aviator Look

Heres a few taken at various shows over the last few years. I haven't worn my uniform during this years season as the boots have fallen apart and I havent gotten a replacement yet. My uniform represents a Flight Sub-Lieutenant of the Royal Naval Air Service. And heres a youtube video from...

Is there a boot section in "Outerwear?"

Theres a fairly substantial thread on flying boots lurking around somewhere, unfortunately it hasn't made an appearance in quite a while...

    Customer experiences with Aero Leather

Christ, 4 months for Eastman? A wait time like that makes you think they misplaced the order somewhere...

    Great Movie Soundtracks

Remember the 2002 re-make of "The Time Machine"? The film itself was savaged pretty badly by critics, (I didnt think it was that bad) but the soundtrack was astounding, absolutely epic. Klaus Badelt did it I believe.

DEFECT OPiNiONS: Would U return this jacket???

I agree, that third photo really clarifies the pocket matter. Thats horrendous, absolutely return it.

    Customer experiences with Aero Leather

Its not just Aero, Eastman is in the same boat as well, it took 11 weeks for me to receive my jacket. While I am extremely satisfied with the final product, and I understand the low value of the pound at the moment is creating a backlog, I think both companies should be a bit more upfront with...

    New ELC Hartmann

After almost three months of waiting, my Hartmann finally arrived yesterday. I ordered a size 42 long which ended up being absolutely perfect. The jacket is heavier than I had imagined it would be. The leather is thick and soft as well. I was initially perplexed over the size of the cuff...

Size 44 Buzz Rickson Roughwear B-10

In excellent condition. Shell and lining is clean, knits in top shape, no holes or catches. Mouton collar like new. Left pocket button needs 3 minutes with a needle to sew it back on, I'd do it myself but i don't have any colour matching thread. The repro conmar works fine, it can sometimes run...

ALL REPRO R.A.F. Irvin type jackets

Aero makes a really nice Irvin nowadays. Thick strong hide and sturdy construction, I love my Eastman but I certainly wouldn't mind having an example from both companies in my closet. You should take a look at a thread from late last year on VLJ by Jamesp, comparing his 1942 pattern Eastman with...

    Big Mac

Can't say I disagree with that. Spending upwards of 1000 bucks on a jacket also makes an extremely good incentive to stay trim so you can continue to wear said jacket.
