Fortunately it was still early in the day and the school wasn't expecting me back at the hotel for several hours. I just wandered around until I found some familiar landmarks. I should have just tapped on the man's shoulder
I got lost doing that. I was on a school trip in Venice Italy and there was a man walking ahead of me with toilet paper stuck to his shoe. I think I was stomping after him for a good 10 minutes determined to get that toilet paper. When I finally managed to get it, I looked up and had no idea...
angeljenny - I'm so excited for you, good luck! I highly recommend The Heart Scan Blog for diet and nutrition information. Low carb is the way to go! I've never felt better and it cleared up my skin:D Be careful of protein shakes; make sure you get the low carb variety and you mix them with...
My husband and I both wanted kids and we had a daughter within 12 months of getting married. Kids are expensive and a lot of work, even when you love them very very much. If someone wants to do something else with their time and money (and sanity) it's their right and their business. What I...
I started working out in the evenings because of this. And then I can just shower and set my hair. I don't workout every night and not all of my workouts call for a shower.
I recieved some Freddies of Pinewood last week. I ordered the 1950's Utility Jeans and the Dungaree Dolls. My waist is 26 and my hips are 34. I ordered the 26 waist. They fit fine. A little bit loose, but not loose enough to go down a size. Plus they are brand new, I think they may shrink...
Since having my daughter I've had some problems using my diva cup. It's harder to position correctly. My cervix is much lower now and I have to make sure the cup goes over the cervix and not next to it. I get occasional leaks from the seal breaking. I think this is from my diminished muscle...
LD, that pattern is to die for. Good investment!
DPD - Fifties is so much fun! I need more skirts to wear with my petticoat. Do you know the length of the hem?
Kate-O-Potato - How much sewing experience do you have? Skirts like that are easy to make without a pattern. It's just a...
I agree with Lareine. The older machines are fantastic for beginners. Easy to use and service, and quite reliable. I've used a 217 (from the late 60's?) for several years until I recieved a Husqvarna Viking Emerald(?) last Christmas. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the old Singer.
Drappa, that would be lovely. I'll see what patterns I can conjur and I'll see if I can work the pieces around the rust stains. The fabric is too sheer for a zipper so I think I would do center front buttons all the way to the hem.
Inspiration
I have some really cool fabric and I'm not sure what to do with it. It's a little sheer. It's quite crisp but I don't think the fibers are synthetic. The print is really cool. It is 36" wide and 4 yd long. But it has a few small rust stains scattered on it. I was thinking of...
Katinka Von K. - I too have developped a slight allergy to the sun. A little sun here and there never bothers me, but too much at once and the exposed area gets covered in tiny incredibly itchy blisters. It's aweful!
My complexion isn't great for the super pale look. I get a bit of sun...
For me it's permanent markers. The pixies make them magically appear in the hands of my three year old. :(. She coloured on my 50's cookie tin with black sharpie this morning (amongst other things.)
I have been using cheap CG pencils. I don't mind using pencils but I have a hard time finding the right shade. My hair is dark blond to light brown and everything I've tried is either too dark or too orange.
Thanks David! I think it's a hutch. The paint job is very odd. I think it may be an uncompleted refurbishing attempt. I'm still looking for a place to put it.
