Check out these vintage hairstyles. The instructions aren't very detailed but it's nothing we can't handle;) Lot's of great ideas, especially for newbies.
Perhaps if you used a smaller round brush. And blow dried the hair down and under to create curl. And then comb it so that the front sections are turned forward slightly. With hair this short it can't take long to dry.
Puzzicato - I have only cut out wheat. You're right, I had not considered intolerance.
Paisley - Isn't it strange? I've been eating wheat (whole) my entire life and then all of a sudden....I thought for a while I had a candida problem. I was looking for probiotic treatments and some of...
Celiacs?
My clothes felt very tight a few weeks ago but my weight was the same. I felt really bloated and gassy and just gross. I stopped eating wheat and I feel so much better. The bloating went away in two days resulting in a two inch reduction at my waist . I was SO bloated, no...
Well don't be crushed because I have the exact same pattern. It's a size 12 however, but sleeves can't be that hard to grade. Just PM me and I'll send you a copy of the blouse sleeve.
I had the same problem. I find a creamy base coat hides the reall half moons pretty good and doesn't look too stark white. My favourite right now is Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in beige blast. The paddle shaped brush is nice too. And it's inexpensive!
Oh ya, that just happened
I gave my two year old daughter a half moon manicure. Revlon's Valentine and L.A. Colors Art Deco in white to paint the half moon.
Bahahahaha! It cracks me up when people snub their noses at those who take pride in their appearance. Makes me want to saw, "Oh wow, look at YOU! In those jogging pants, and that t-shirt with the holes in the armpits. How do you do it!?"
Pattern Rescue
Hi Joie! Those incomplete patterns sound like they would be very useful at Pattern Rescue. At least you don't have to worry about them ending up in a landfill, or crowding your basement.
How can you sew something big and heavy and complicated, without beating it up? Are there any tricks? I've been fighting with this enourmous pouffy silk dress and it's getting snags and oil from my sewing machine. The oil isn't coming down the needle or onto the presser foot it's just...
Finally picked up a few things
I went to my local thrift store and I picked up a few things that felt vintage. I was going for 50s - 60s. Here are few things, let me know what era you think these are from.
Two pairs of Naturalizers. The word Naturalizer is written in cursive, so I think...
I wouldn't recommend the pin marker if you plan on using it alone. But you could use it with a dress form. If the chalk one has the hand operated pump with the extension cord you should be able to use that by yourself.
My local Value Village has amazing vintage shoes and accessories, I think. I'm never sure and that often stops me from picking something up. Are there any things to look out for with shoes and purses?
Here is a nice compilation of belly dancers from back in the day.
